After the overnight crossing and breakfast onboard, we wind our way out of the port and into industrial France! We'll have to go 40km on tarmac and cycle paths before a break and another ferry crossing although this one takes about 5mins!

From here, a steady climb then into our first bit of proper off road for day 2.

Today is the toughest day with plenty of climbing in and out of river valleys and stretches of gravel and wooded single track.
